CoreAcryl
All Classique pedestal and clawfoot tubs from Baths of Distinction are built to exacting standards using CoreAcryl. CoreAcryl has been developed by Baths of Distinction to offer a beautiful smooth high gloss 'enamel look' tub interior and exterior, with none of the inherent issues associated with enamel. Starting with thick layers of pure 3/16" acrylic sheet for the inner and outer skins, each skin is then strengthened by layers of bonded fiberglass. While CoreAcryl naturally maintains water heat, Baths of Distinction also incorporate a thin aluminum heat loss barrier with narrow air gap. The bathtub floor is even further reinforced, finishing up just over 1" thick. Our unique blend of resin and powdered stone is then added before pressure bonding the shells together. The bath tub side thickness is 1/2" or more.
