Made in the USA, the SanSiro 'Aquino59CAJ' is a fabulous narrow lip minimalist heated air jetted acrylic bathtub.
All of the air jet fittings are concealed between the inner and outer shells of the tub and need simply be connected to a 15 amp GFCI to be up and running.
In the unlikely event of an issue with the blower, access for repair is extremely simple. Unscrew the drain basket, lift the tub straight up, turn it over on its' side and you have easy access to all working parts.
The tub requires either a wall mount or freestanding tub filler.
No special drain is required and this package includes everything needed to install the tub, including the drain.
There are 18 strategically positioned air injectors to reach all areas of the legs, feet and back.
Bathers can enjoy a really soothing soft bubble action
We use what is considered to be the quietest air blower on the market and when in the tub, you hear the bubbles, not the blower.
To keep the injected air bubbles as warm as possible, we equip the blower with a powerful heating element to pre-heat the injected air. This heater will raise the ambient temperature 15 to 20 degrees within a period of around 2 minutes, so switching the air jetting on before entering the tub can be a good idea. While not feeling just as cold, even heated air bubbles will feel a little cool when they make contact with the skin.
To maintain hygiene in the air pipes, every time you take a bath and drain the water, engage the blower for about 15 seconds to purge all residual water in the lines. Every three months, we recommend that you fill the tub about two inches over the highest jet with lukewarm water and add a half cup of bleach. Engage the blower and let run for two minutes. Empty and repeat this step with clean water and purge the lines when the tub is empty.
The underside and sides of the tub are specially fiberglass and resin coated and the air cavity in between the inner and outer shells acts as a natural heat loss barrier. We have conducted tests with a foam filled cavity instead of air and there is no improvement on heat retention.
