'Nicolosa-Air73' 73" CoreAcryl WHITE French Bateau HEATED AIR JETTED Acrylic Skirted Bathtub Package with a Patina Copper Leaf Exterior Ready to connect to a 15 amp GFCI plug
Made in the USA,
Soothe away the aches of the day in a luxurious heated air massage bathtub. All of our individual flat face air injectors are placed on the bottom of the tub to massage calves and thighs.
To keep the injected air bubbles as warm as possible, we equip the blower with a powerful heating element to pre-heat the injected air. This heater will raise the ambient temperature 15 to 20 degrees within a period of around 2 minutes, so switching the air jetting on before entering the tub can be a good idea. While not feeling just as cool, even heated air bubbles will feel a little cool when they make contact with the skin. To maintain hygiene in the air pipes, every time you take a bath and drain the water, engage the blower for about 15 seconds to purge all residual water in the lines. Every three months, we recommend that you fill the tub about two inches over the highest jet with lukewarm water and add a half cup of bleach. Engage the blower and let run for two minutes. Empty and repeat this step with clean water and purge the lines when the tub is empty.
In the unlikely event of a blower failure, replacing it is also very simple, just disconnect the tub from the drain, turn it over and replace the blower, about a 30 minute job.
Product Details The gorgeous shape of this pedestal tub is made even more elegant when finished in aged copper patina leaf. We don't paint the surface and sponge on a darker paint for ageing, we apply genuine copper leaf to the entire exterior surface of the tub and then apply specially prepared antiquing liquids to expedite the darkening process of the copper patina. While there are various contrasting shades of gold, copper and browns, at areas on the tub, there may also be some soft greens, this would be typical of a naturally aged copper patina. While the exterior definitely looks like metal, it shows what appears to be the effects of natural aging on the surface. To maintain a natural look, we finish with three layers of soft eggshell gloss lacquer as shown on photo.
To assist you in your decision making, we'll be happy to send samples on request.
Finishing The exterior of the tub is sanded and primed ready for application. After copper leafing the exterior of the tub, we apply aging agents to allow discoloration of the leaf to mimic the effects of nature. To protect the outer surface, we then apply three coats of protective clear lacquer which makes cleaning and maintenance the simplest of jobs. Just a wipe with a soft cloth will remove any mark or stain.
SanSiro Jetted Tubs - Electrical Cord Position on Tub All of the jetted tubs in the SanSiro range use a 3' long cable 110v – 15-amp standard 3 pin plug. You have choices as to where you would like the plug on the jetting system to connect to the GFCI outlet in your home. 1 - Leave the connection under the tub. In this case, you would need to have your GFCI at the control board and not on the plug under the tub. 2.- Connect to a wall socket GFCI. You can drill holes in the outside of the tub and run the electrical cable to a wall mounted GFCI near the tub. 3 - To drill the holes, we recommend first drilling the 1/8” (bit supplied) pilot hole and then the hole saw supplied. If you have two plugs, drill two holes. 4 - You can then feed the cord through the hole(s) and attach the rubber grommet. This grommet fits around the inside of the hole to prevent a rough tub edge rubbing on the electrical cord. Just in case you need it, we include an additional 3’ long extension cord for each plug on the tub. See or print photo directions
